Steps to logging out of Facebook are somewhat different depending on whether you logged in via the Facebook website (often used by desktop users) or the Facebook mobile application (essential for mobile phones). Either way, the steps will be clearly stated for both login choices.

I'm assuming you're already logged in. Follow the steps below.
- Click the downward facing arrow on the top right corner to unveil a drop-down menu.
- Scroll down through the options on the menu and click Log out.
- Facebook Mobile Application (iOS and Android Devices)
Follow the steps below.
- Click the menu bar on the bottom right corner (iOS). This menu bar can be found on the top right corner on Android devices. Options will appear on doing this.
- Scroll down and click Log out. At this point you'll be asked if you're sure you want to log out with the "Log out" and "Cancel" button options.
- Click the Log out button to confirm the log out.
