What Does Syncing Your Facebook Account Entail?

Syncing your Facebook account with your mobile device allows data on your device such as contacts, photos etc to get saved to Facebook. Photos you take on your phone after this syncing process will be automatically uploaded to Facebook and saved in a private photo album titled "Synced from Phone".

Syncing Your Facebook Account to Your Android Device

  • Go to your phone's Settings.
  • Scroll down to find and tap on Accounts.
This will open up a new screen where all your social media application icons are listed. 
  • If you cant find the Facebook application listed among them, click the Add account option. This is often the last option on the list.
  • Select the Facebook application icon.
  • Tap the ellipses (...) on the top right corner of the new screen.
A pop up window will open will the following options; "Sync now" and "Remove account"
  • Tap Sync now.
Your Facebook account should be successfully synced to your device now.
In 2016 however, the photo syncing feature was disabled by Facebook. Although a new app called "Moments" was introduced to enable users who synced their photos to gain access to those photos.
